Seems to be the hip, flourishing neighborhood in Portland with some restaurants and galleries.

WITHOUT predetermined plans
So we headed to Portland to spend the 4th of July, and had the most wonderful, delightful, and pleasant day in this beautiful and lovely city.
Though our destination was set, our plans were not. We just walked out and about the whole day. We very much enjoyed and loved Portland.
Need to transplant asap
- pumpkins —to make some glorious pies in October
- sunflowers —for a happy garden
- lavender —for its exquisite aroma
- mint —to celebrate with mojitos ;)
I’ll be working on transplanting a few this evening, since it’s been very sunny and hot during the day for the past week.
Oh, and the arugulas… they’re ready!! Tonight I’ll eat the very first vegetable I’ve grown! I truly have no words for the feeling this brings about :)
Happy aging-gracefully birthday, hIPPIECHICK!!
A day late, but I hope this year will bring more graceful aging, much learning, more Snickerdoodle touring, a greenhouse, and a vegetable garden.
PS Here’s a young basil plant from my little garden to get you inspired ;)
All the best!!
Second time's a charm :)
I use Firefox for a few sites that do not run well on Safari. But, after upgrading to Safari 3.0.2 beta, I need to give it a break due to slooooow issues, and it has crashed on me a few times, plus 43T continually gives me application errors :S…
Apart from the Firefox’s bookmark issue that it’s not the best —but I can handle—, it really works great on the Mac. Until Safari comes up with its definite version, Firefox it is.
Happy belated shimmy green onion birthday, Marmotry :)
Hope you had a shimmyfabulous b-day!!

Heading to Portland in just a few hours!
There are no predetermined plans on what to do there, but just walk around and get the feel of the city. We’ll be there for the day, and the trip is 3 hours each way. So hopefully there might be some sights to see along the way as well :)
