When I adopted this goal a while ago, I thought of biking, some yoga, and maybe a swim here and there. But I haven’t been constant with the yoga, and my bike is still unfixed :( So I’m following the advice of a book I’m reading to just keep moving by walking everywhere, doing errands on foot, tidying the house, gardening… Simply do the stuff.
Today I walked my dog —as I do everyday—, but I did it more briskly than usual. That was on purpose. I felt that it had become too much of a leisure walk, and, though I enjoy it very much, I decided I might as well get some exercise benefit out of it.
After that, I came home to mow the lawn. I’m not sure how many calories were burnt, but my body pretty much got its workout :)
