On December 31st, the Popocatépetl volcano spitted the last fumes of the year into the last sun rays of 2009.
A little bit afterwards, after walking around the flower fields and the twilight getting duskier, I faced the volcano again, and the fumes were now in the shape of a huge question mark!! I was stunned. By the time I got my camera out, the fumes had dissipated somewhat, but the ”?” shape can still be distinguished a bit.
Ha! The volcano’s wit to smoke out the big metaphor of 2009: an immense question mark…
