First "imperfect" draft

This goal has been lingering forever in my list, gone to the given-up list, and reinstated.

An event this morning triggered me to reflect about this goal on my morning pages, where I wrote a first draft. In my perfectionism, I wanted to have the quintessential list for my morning routine. But, what’s wrong with an imperfect morning routine? It’s a lot better than having none at all, better imperfect than a mediocre one. Besides, what I’m really aiming at is to have a beautiful uplifting routine, not a perfect one. And what’s “perfect” anyways? So I decided this list needs not be ultimate, untouchable, or sacred. Things change, I change, everything evolves.

So for now, this one suits me with the resources I have now, with who I am now, with things that are currently doable. Later on, I can change, move, or refit as appropriate:

  1. Have a beautiful tranquil evening routine
  2. Have a good-night sleep
  3. Wake up to the sound of my alarm clock —hopefully, later on, it will be with the first rays of the sun
  4. Stretch freely in my bed
  5. Hug and kiss Uma good morning
  6. Open my window and lift my bed sheets and blankets to let my bed breathe
  7. Prepare a cup of coffee and fill up a bottle or two with two liters of water to drink during the day
  8. While waiting for the coffee, do a few more stretches
  9. Go to my garden and take in a deep breath of the morning air
  10. Hang my hammock and place Uma’s blanket next to it
  11. Write my morning pages while sipping coffee and laying on the hammock
  12. Take a warm shower
  13. Moisturize my body and face giving myself a light massage at the same time
  14. Dress
  15. Brush and style my hair
  16. Walk/bike Uma and be conscious/aware of the views, happenings, and maybe even photograph them
  17. Do some yoga exercises
  18. Tend my garden
  19. Eat breakfast
  20. Brush my teeth
  21. Start my working day

This should get me started off upliftingly and beautifully from tomorrow on :)
