  • I finally got to visit nearby Atlixco —the town after which my childhood street is named after. I took a short day trip with my aunt to go to its famous plant nurseries. So much color from flowers was a joy to see. The quality, condition, and price of the plants was jaw-dropping.
We then strolled very shortly in the lovely zócalo (main square) and ate homey food at a local restaurant. Very enjoyable day. I definitely need to go back on my own to take photographs at leisure.
  • I also finally bought my long-overdue rosemary plant to place on my night table. I’ve wanted one for so long, and it just didn’t happen until today, and it only cost $5.50 pesos!! (about 40 cents US) Plants are so cheap in Atlixco. My rosemary is beautiful, and now I have very nice aromatherapy for my sweet dreams :)
  • Springing out of bed the minute the alarm came off at 7:30 —huge accomplishment considering DST just started 5 days ago.
