- The tranquil face of my dog resting after she unsuccessfully struggled to get out of her bath, but then succumbing to toweling and to the buzzing sound of the razor. She feels ready for the warmer weather :)
- A couple hours of extra sleep —deserved after a hectic and restless couple of days.
- My friend A called from the airport in Mexico City to thank me for the wonderful time he had here. He thanked me again for lending him a suitcase “without which he couldn’t have made it”. We talked for a little while and, at the end, he asked me if I was in better terms with my dad. I said no. He then asked me to thank my dad for him for lending us the car so we could go touring. I smiled and thanked him for his kind words, but he has no idea how that last thing he said touched me. The argument with my dad was over something very nasty he said about my friend. Without knowing it, my friend has proved to be the better person. He is such a good friend, and I’m thankful :)
